PERFECT... JUST PERFECT.

Pictures of the poignant cherry blossoms scene were etched in my heart forever after watching The Last Samurai. In one of the conversations in the movie, amidst the cherry orchard, Katsumodo told Algren: “The perfect blossom is a rare thing. You could spend your life looking for one, and it would not be a wasted life.” In the battlefield while Katsumodo was dying he was seeing cherry blossoms and ever so heart-wrenchingly, his last words were: “Perfect. They… are all…perfect…” -about the cherry blossoms. To me it’s like recognizing your calling, or discovering your passion or finding your one great love. We can go through many things in life, good or bad- and in the end; whatever took us to get to where our heart’s final haven is- the journey has always been perfect. If I have to go through all my past heart aches and shed all those tears again just to get to where my heart is now- I would, without batting an eyelash. I am in love! I dream of one day seeing an actual cherry orchard in bloom while holding hands with the man I love. Perfect… -just perfect.
